Busy buying tickets for y'all!

Spent today with our dearest Retard who woke me up with a message "U wake up le mah?", which quickly prompted a meeting. It was fucking sunny and I swear I have a killer sunburn. Honestly I'd much rather be naked! Ouch!

Proof! (Kallang Stadium in the background)

Retard & I ate at Arnold's Fried Chicken. Food's good, cheaper than Popeye's too weeeeehaaaa!

All of this, plus Potato platter comprising potato wedges, criss cut fries and chips with cheese dip. See you all for soccer tomorrow!

Btw, I had a haircut. The premiere of Gundu's new haircut at lunchboxers.blogspot.com!

I think people won't take to it, but I'm not going to give a fuck because I like it! I have a fringe. This is fun. Hey, you guys.. post pics lah. I seem to be the only one posting stupid/ugly/candid pics of myself.. Where's that "Fleshy Moth" artwork we have all been dying to see??

Last but not least,
To Jinglebelly: Wish you the courage of ten lions!

Just to let the Lunchboxers know, my grandmother just passed away on Saturday the 27th. It was quick, and hopefully as painless as possible for her.

She had been battling cancer for many years now, so I always knew she was going to go off some time soon. My grandfather who had maintained a somewhat cheerful disposition throughout my grandmother's unsuccesful convalescence (when has cancer been treatable anyway?) burst out into tears when she pulled her last breath. It was the saddest sight.
As for me, I have overcome the crying bit. When they told me she was dead, I felt that the lady in that sterile room was no longer my grandmother. It felt as if I had headbutted10 walls, not that I've tried. Once was shitty enough. One was Just minutes before, I was holding her hand. I could feel her grip tighten occasionally, but I knew she was so weak. It was deplorable. Siti, if I hadn't left the class earlier, I wouldn't have been able to see her in her last moments.

It's going to be fucking weird going for Hari Raya and not see her, because she was usually the first one I'd visit. I vaguely remember when she brought me up as a child. I used to eat the same thing for breakfast every day - jam and egg sandwich, plus Milo. Then chicken or fish soup for lunch, dinner, supper, tea. My grandparents used to fatten me up quite a bit, which explains why I am fat now......... Anyway, I had better treasure the time I have left with my grandfather. As well as the other side of the family.

I pray that she will leave this earth peacefully and that her judgement before God will be as smooth and painless as possible. Thank you for the message, Siti. I loved her very much.
I hear that LB wanted to visit me tomorrow. But sorry, I'm not free haha. I'm going for a haircut. Thank you so much for the kind thoughts. I love LB!

On a lighter note, I was trying to put on my best Jasmine impression the other day, minus the spitting and shrill voice. I hope Aunty doesn't mind me stealing her look for a day!

So how do I measure up, Aunty? Leo says it looks as if the butcher gave me a piece of meat that is too puny.

Kalland Roar!!!

Woohooo...
I went to Kallang stadium to join S'ore journey in the ASEAN cup. I was so anxious before the game start. Me, my dad and nep, niece were there right on time when the match begin. We shouted, cheered, jeered, jump, roared and i can say, even jas who dont really like watching soccer will enjoy if she went because the atmosphere there is amazing... No wonder or lions won! When Malaysia scored the first goal, my heart were beating very fast le.. but then, Ridwan, our home team player made an equaliser though head injured.. everyone jumped on their feet and celebrate the goal.. It was a moment of relief.. When I realise that we have to play penalty, my heart beat sooo fast.. Jia Yi, almost let the Malaysian goalkeeper grabbed the ball yet, I must say, Lionel Louis become Singapore hero by saving the last kick. Well, I can definately say that Singapore will be against Thailand for finals... Thailand is a terrific team.. even their under-23 team is strong enough to beat any regional teams.. yet, i have faith in the lions.. if u all want, i go see the final match.. if it is held in singapore, I think I want to ask lunchboxers along.. Piggo will definately say yes.. but auntie n gundu, I nt sure.. but i hope u all can make it... Okayla.. Before i end, Salam Takziah to madinah.. Semoga Allah akan berkati your nenek and selalu dijagaNya. Amin.
See u LB soon... When are we gng to start LB-men??

Divining your life path number.

HELLO LUNCHBUXERS !!

http://www.newagenotebook.com/Numerology/divining-your-life-path-number/

I took the liberty of calculating this shit for you! (Cos I'm that bo liao..) But you could always counter check, since you know how shitty my math is...

Aunty Jas:
1+3 + 7 + 1+9+8+8 = 37
3 + 7 = 10

Life Path Number 1
If you are a 1, you are motivated by a need for soul freedom and personal attainment. Your prime directive is to learn how to be independent from others in all ways, but especially emotionally and financially.

Number 1s often have the potential to be great leaders but the often abysmally fail when it comes to teamwork and cooperation. For this reason, they make great entrepreneurs, freelancers, generals, commanders, CEOs and producers.

Usually number 1's spend at least two thirds of their life trying to shake off the emotional and financial shackles imposed on them by others. They are usually self-made individuals who, like salmon swimming upstream, have to overcome great odds in order to succeed. They innovative and inventive personalities usually end up changing the world for the better in some way.

A person with a number 1 Life Path is usually blessed with motivation, enthusiasm, creativity and inspiration. They tend to be physically healthier and mentally stronger than most people are. Their good looks vitality and lust for life is a source of awe for others who often admire their stamina and ability to get their act together.

However sometimes a person traveling the number 1 Life path can be self-absorbed, pushy and overwhelming. Their aggression and ambition is often interpreted as hostility and selfishness. Most number 1's learn hard lessons about the value of good timing and tact during their life journey.

Many who try to have relationships with number 1s cannot stomach their driving ambition and social climbing, which is indicative of their lust for success (especially material) at any cost. They tend to see people as objects and are possessive, jealous and obsessive. They are also not beyond entertaining an infidelity that will advance their career.

Number 1s who stray from their paths often end up in clingy codependent relationships with mentally ill or addicted partners. If you are a number 1 and experiencing this kind of situation, it is a definite message that you are failing your life's purpose to become self-sufficient in life.

L'il Piggo:
1+9 +1+1 + 1+9+8+8 = 38
3+8 = 11
1+1 = 2

Life Path Number 2
Those following a number 2 Life Path tend to be diplomatic, sensitive individuals. As they have an inherent sense of morality and fairness, they tend to be indecisive as they can clearly see both sides of any conundrum or argument. They often make great judges, mediators, lawyers, counselors or social workers because they have an incredible talent for resolving disputes. These loving, optimistic individuals prefer to see only the best in others. They are honest almost to the point of fault. They have high emotional quotients and thrive best in a work setting that requires teamwork. Number 2's are always respected for their politeness, tact and ability to inspire groups of people to perform acts of charity and philanthropy. Number 2's never "stoop to conquer" and consider themselves to be above arguing with others.

Number 2s function best in nine to five jobs where the routine is the same every day. Erratic behaviors, drama queens and overt displays of physical affection upset them.

These natural collectors are also pack rats and are the type to keep everything that they have owned since birth in the attic or basement. As they are also very sentimental and nostalgic, many of them collect antiques and photographs of loved ones.

As the life purpose of a number 2 is to bring harmony to group situations it is very important for them to get out and socialize. A number 2 that is isolating has strayed from his or her life path. Pessimism, lethargy and depression usually identify this. The best way for a number 2 to get back on the right path is to find a job that involves working with the general public or to find a way to practice acts of charity or philanthropy. Nothing corrects a number 2's karma more efficiently than acts of random kindness or volunteering for a hospital, school or shelter. In fact, that is how many of them meet their soul mates.

Retard Princess:
2 + 9 + 1+9+8+8 = 37
3+7 = 10

Read Aunty's.

Gundu:
1+8 + 8 + 1+9+8+8 = 43
4+3 = 7

Life Path Number 7
Those embarking on number 7 Life Paths are affectionate, peace-loving individuals who prefer rationality to inspiration. These reserved and analytical deep-thinkers make great mathematicians, engineers, inventors, scientists and doctors.

These intellectual and studious personalities often pursue advanced academic careers. As they love to read and absorb information, they usually require a great deal of private time to cultivate their knowledge. Number 7 children often excel at school and appear to be "old souls" for their age.

Number 7 s are perfectionists who prefer silence to music, noise and crowds. They are methodical and thorough analysts who believe that "if you can't do a job right, don't do it at all."

Suspicious 7's do not make friends easily. They despise the guile and manipulations associated with popular culture and dismiss all who do not pass their strict moral standards. 7's often appear very reserved and aloof to others and many find it takes some time to even get up the nerve to approach them. Once a 7 does make a friend, however, it is usually for life.

Although they are skeptical and analytical creatures, 7's do rely on their gut instincts more than they rely on statistics, public opinion polls or advice from others. As they dislike being manipulated, television or the media disgusts many.

These hermits enjoy being alone and far away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. For this reason, many of them prefer to live in the country where their nerves are not irritated by the hectic pace of urban life.

The shadow side of a 7 is a tendency to become pessimistic, overly logical, quarrelsome and pessimistic. Many 7s are brilliant and (perhaps deservedly so) feel that the world owes them a living. If you are a number 7 who can't seem to deal with people at all there is a chance that abrasive character traits that were formally considered eccentric have been demoted down to repulsive. A sign that a number 7 has strayed completely off of his or her life path is a complete withdrawal from society. In this case, the troubled 7 should try to recognize his or her original ambitions to improve the world through the application of wisdom.

What do you think? 5 out of 7 people find this uncannily accurate. Ok lah, aside from the first 2 paragraphs of mine, I think my description's rather true...

Work
To dream that you are hard at work, denotes that you will win well-earned success by concentrating your energy. It can also signify a creative breakthrough. If unusual characters appear in the workplace, such as members of your family, try and bring their influence into your work life.

sounds good, right??

The first day.. only 30 more to go.

Have you ever realised the sweat that goes behind the cute aunties you see at fast food places? (if you think they are cute) Well let me paint a picture for you.

Yes, Aunty and I are working at PL. Yes, we look like zookeepers. I look like a short man in their god awful uniform. Zookeeper boy. As if it isn't enough looking tastelessly attired, we have to get our digits grimy 100% of the time.

Honestly, this is the hardest I've worked, ever. The shit I do at home comes to about 9719823miles as close to the chores I have to do down at PL.

Clearing dishes is a nasty job. Since Taka's PL is reknowned for being the 'most efficient' in all the land of Singapore, they want everything done fast, fast, fast. As a result, clearing dishes would more or less involve physically handling (look-ma-no-gloves) GROSS bits of whatever meal someone digested. So my fingerstips are pepper stung, and lightly scalded (from the 260 degrees C hotplates), to a hint of golden brown.

Serving dishes is even more of a drag. That's where you get to face all sorts of different personalities aka rudeass customers. And yea, I was hella patient, despite the oncoming sore throat. I will hajimemaste your ass.

What I would say is that I regret taking this job. Why, ma? Why didn't I listen and take a simple admin job instead?

I'm hella fucking glad I didn't get to work at Mos Burger. I was afraid something like this would happen and might have ended up hating Mos Burger. The horror.

I fucking smell. Not even the best Redken shampoo will diffuse this virulent smell from my hair, I swear. Now I'll smell like cat food every day. I wish I worked somewhere else, that sold ice cream/vanilla/cookies.. Island Creamery! Or a cafe. At least I'd smell of pretty things.

We're going to be working almost everyday, spanning from a schedule of 1-10pm to compensate for the peanuts-for-pay wages.

L'il Piggo is probably having the time of her life, dancing till daylight, drinking till she turns green.. But I don't think I could havemanaged a night out, Piggo. I am seriously shagged, it's the closest I've been to sports and my legs are telling me that I just ran the 2.4. Definitely not looking forward to the next working day.

But then again, maybe I'm being a priss.. I don't know.

Well I guess the uniform is useful in one way. Aunty and I will not have to pay zoo entrance fees when we visit next Tuesday...

journey to hell...

firstly, before any one of you read this entry, please give a round of applause for dear gundu and me. this is to reward and encourage two newbies(in cleaning and the ability to endure such hardship, will elaborate further on what's the hardship.) *clap clap clap*

ok, here i go. before we enter this use-to-be a heavenly place, called PEPPER LUNCH, we are full of excitement and were anxious actually. so when we went in, we were told to wait for our new uniforms and instruction.after about five to ten minutes or so of waiting, we were greeted with this ever so zookeeper-uniform-colour-liked uniform...("F***ing zookeeper la!" was what gundu said when we receive it) it is too horrible... however, we still look forward to the working part, despite of the first disappointment we had.

then, our journey to hell began..

one of the captain there, an indian or sikh guy introduced and explain everything to us about the operations of the restaurant and stuffs. we thought he was friendly and polite at first. we were also introduced to a manager there. to us, he was rather strict for our first impressions, and often order us around. we can't even rest and let our mind function properly(seriously!), before we are ordered to do some other stuffs again. today's work includes:
1)clearing of tables
we had to carry the trays with a hotplate on it. the hotplates were not as light as you think by the way. you know, i'll always scream in horror when i see or touch oily stuffs. usually i will wash my hands without any delay if i were to touch oily and dirty stuffs. imagine, my dear LB... i have to clear plates, and to touch oil, people's spit, saliva, mucus, phlegm... omg.. worst part is.. i cant wash my hands at all! because even if i wash, the next moment it will be oily again. the table cloths are...... beyond description(be it the colour, the smell...)
2)shouting the greetings
whenever there's customers coming in, we had to shout(yes, shout! the irritating kind.) out 'welcome' in japanese language, and 'thank you', as they leave. please don't think that i'm at my usual self, and that this task is as easy as ABC for me. guess what. the manager have to teach me how to shout. "eh! u think u talking to your boyfriend ar??? SO SOFT!!! louder la!!!" and he has to shove my shoulders while saying that....
3)serving
we must cook for the customers if they do not know how to cook themselves. procedures like how to mix, what proportion to mix, add what sauce, and which steps comes after another
must be memorised. and when i'm serving my customer, that damn manager, and some bossy people, who are also of the same post as me, will look at how i do it. i don't mind it if those people, who are of the same post as me correct me if i'm wrong. but they should really watch their tone, not to boss people around.
4)clearing trash
what the manager said, such as "hygeines are very important in F&B " are TOTAL CRAP!! how can we, after handling trash and were unable to wash our hands after that, be hygienic??? yes, they serve food after handling trash. . the trays are also not as clean as u think,or see. we were told to just simply wipe it and put it back to the rack, as a new and clean tray.

we are reek of pepper and barbecue smell from top to bottom. and even after several times of washing my hands, the table cloth smell still exist.. ya it still smells when i'm typing now. and if we were to die, it is definitely due to the leg-breaking experience and dehydrations.

we also met piggo during our break. and i swear tat she'll have her retribution!!

what a day.. it is only our first day gundu.. we must fight till the end of this long month... =(

jobsearch!

I'm going to start this post with an awesome picture. (you know, since she complains her face doesn't appear enough on this blog..)

Generally, this is what she actually looks like most of the time. These moments don't get captured very often, though.

Aunty and I went job seeking today! Asking for jobs wasn't as difficult as I thought because most of the staff were polite.

We got turned down a grand total of 4 times, at: Karen Millen, Topshop, The Better Toy Store (20 and above), Forever 21 (full timers only).

Almost-ed at Kinokuniya, Charles & Keith, The Body Shop, Famous Amos (where the grouchy ah ma shot us a very, very supercilious look when we said 'part time only').

In the final showdown, we decided to accept the job offer at PEPPER LUNCH! But only after a kickass salmon meal there. I still find it surreal that I was hired (shut up Aunty). Work commences this Wednesday. You'll be able to find us working as cheap and hard labour, mopping your floors with a smile.. Hajimematsu.

In all honesty, I'd rather have been hired for a post in the retail sector. My motivation would have been the supposed work benefits (that I conceived) including discounts on clothes. Hence Karen Millen, Topshop, Warehouse, because that's ultimately where my pay check leaks to anyway. But ok lah, whatever, I think this is going to be kind of fun. Plus, I have Aunty, amongst the other aunties as my colleauge! I am going to break my back!

L'il Piggo joined us for shopping and food. I bought 2 bras from La Senza today. I'm glad we all know our official bra sizes now. I also bought a pair of lacy black boyshorts from Topshop which are so sexy! Aunty bought a mint green pair of panties which said "Sweetie" with a see through back. Sexy! Ahah!

The Lunchboxers paid a visit to a little sex shop by the corner of the street.
"Excuse me, miss. Can I help you? Because this section is for 25 year olds and above."

Possible queries we could have shot, instead of shuffling single file out.

Of a dildo;
Aunty: Do you have a tester?
Retard: Can you show me how to use it?

Gundu: Some dildos were damn huge ah.
Retard: Ok lah..

Tsk, tsk Prince of Myanmar. No wonder she can't stop conceiving.

We Billy Bombed Shengyang.

PEPPER LUNCH VS BILLY BOMBERS VS WINDOW CLEANER(or hotel attendant)??

today is quite a lucky day i should say. me n gundu are hired...by...PEPPER LUNCH fast food cum restaurant! actaully we started the day off at around 10:45 to search for a job, without really expecting to get a job so soon(this was what i thought, do not know about gundu's). i even thought that it was just another outing of LUNCHBOXERS.

we went to several places like kinokunya, The bodyshop, Charles n Keith, Famous Amos etc to ask for job vacancies, but we were told to call the companies instead!! (i cant forget the expression of the famous amos aunty! btw ony gundu can imitate it so well...)

we had our lunch with piggo at PEPPER LUNCH, and this is how we got the job as we past by it and saw the hiring notice. we were quite surprised that no interviewing takes place... n that gundu GUNDU don't even know that we are hired! we chose to start on this coming wednesday.(there goes our slacking days at home! sob!)

actually i'm kind of excited about wednesday, about working with new colleagues and of course with our dear gundu. ..!(please dont fly!) and of course i'm looking forward to the lunchboxers trip to the singapore zoological garden! maybe next week on piggo's and our off days? as for retard, wish you good luck for your job seeking! love lunchboxers loads!!
