Firstly, i really want to slap you for putting ur emotions in the blog rather than calling me... i know you know i am in the mist of having my exams but then a few minutes for you wouldnt matter to me at all rather than seeing you thinking about the matter again and again....
You are feeling guilty here because you are told off by the agent and the mother. Alright, it is okay to feel guilty, because feeling guilty is always a form of self reflection. But, for me, the biggest blame must be put to the agent. I am being fair here... not looking at you as my most darling aunty but anyone else. You were put in a condition whereby you have to feld up with a lie which is against the rightful law of singapore you know that? You cant lie about your qualifiation to your employee... And, it wasnt your fault because you were asked to... Also, she scolded you for not being confident... Tell her to f** off can??? Firstly for telling my friend off and secondly for doing something which is so stupid. If you can explain to the agent, say this ' I do not want to be irresponsible here because I do not want the student to do badly and to pay for my fee when I cannot commit and nt only unable to commit but she seems to have the basics there and pushing her to the advance level will be difficult on my side. I was trying to be truthful here and not going on for the sake of money. Sorry, but i cant lie like you.'
AND, STOP TEACHING FOR FREE NOW!!!! Do you have any contract with the agency??? No, right??? And, you tell her mother, if you want me to teach him, you pay me. Since, you think you've make her some inconvinience, you wouldnt mind the fee to be lowered. And, explain to her about your school days and when the agent called you, you thought you didnt have to split. But now, you have to and when you agreed, you didnt have sufficent time or schedule to see if you are busy. And, when you was asked to choose, you of course choose a better student that you can teach to improve. And saying that you are not confident is not wrong, but it is how you say it...
What you should do now is to call the agency, say that you will not want anymore tuition kid because your rightful condition was wronged and you will never want to be in the same situation again. You currently have a few students right? If you need more, you tell me. I got friends who are tuition agent and, i also have zuqi's mum who can find her relatives too... Just get off the tuition agency, you might not know what you have to face in the future. Next, tell the mum that you cant teach for free. You are happy that you are given a chance to teach but making the decision now to pull out is better even before the student get use to you right? If she disagrees, tell her you can report the matter to CASE, because you cancelled an aggreement before any lesson was made.
But i got a big question here.... you werent paid by the mother or the agent. I was a freaking tuition agent before.. and the parents will pay the agent then pay you. now, find out if in the first place the parent got pay the agent any amount or not.
